André Hansen of Asmico AS
Asmico AS is a mechanical workshop that
supplies meat and fish grinders, as well as mixers and conveyor
belts. We supply domestic and international customers.
The reason we use Vågen as one of our subcontractor is
that they can deliver their special products more efficiently
and more cheaply than we can, if we produced these products
ourselves. We have used Vågen for six years, and our experience
is that they are a trustworthy and reliable supplier. Vågen
often participates in our product development, and they are
a resource we have utilized within our system. Precision products
and deliveries, good follow-up, and good solutions are the hallmark
of Vågen AS.

Geir Trengereid of Bergen Municipality
We have maintained contact with Vågen AS for many years.
At times we have also had product development projects where
Vågen has been an active participant. We have a relatively
strict and professional relationship with our subcontractors,
and all of them are carefully evaluated as regards quality and
price.
On various occasions, we have contracted Kjell Lien, with Vågen,
to assist us with technical machine projects in several challenging
areas, and we have been satisfied with the good results of these
efforts. We have good business relations with Vågen AS,
and anticipate that we will in the future, as well; assuming
that they continue to be competitive with respect to price and
quality.

Lauritz Sætre of Rikett Technology
Rikett Technology AS supplies complete processing plants for
the production of Quartz vinyl floor tiles. These units are
delivered on a turn-key basis. That is, we deliver complete
solutions, and our task is not complete until our customers’
production is in full swing.
Today, Rickett Technology AS is owned by the Dutch holding
company known as Rikett Global Holding BV. We operate on the
international market, and we use a number of subcontractors,
both Norwegian and international, on our projects. Our subcontractors
must at all times be able to satisfy the prevailing quality
requirements and be competitive in their pricing. This presupposes
that the prevailing quality requirements and price levels are
at the correct levels. (We are required to obtain several bids
when and where this is possible.)
For over 15 years I have worked with Vågen, and during
this time the firm has been a reliable and competent working
partner. We present them with the task at hand – to be
solved – and Vågen presents its recommended solution.
Vågen’s Kjell Lien has proven to be a capable problem-solver
and has followed up his projects and deliveries in a conscientious
manner.
In short, we are very satisfied with Vågen as a subcontractor
supplying our projects, and we have no problem recommending
Vågen to others.

Modstein Horgen of FMS Biopolymer AS
FMC BioPolymer ASA develops and produces
alginates from kelp and seaweed (brown algae). The kelp and
seaweed are Norwegian, harvested from Jæren south of Stavanger
to Trondelag near Trondhiem, farther north along the coast.
We maintain production year round.
FMC BioPolymer produces alginates for the world market. Alginates
are used, among other things, in food production, the textile
industry, and in the pharmaceutical industry, throughout the
world. All of our production is exported world wide.
FMC BioPolymer is owned by the U.S.-based company, FMC. Our
firm is located in Vormedal, in Karmøy Municipality (along
the coast, between Stavanger and Bergen), and it employs 120
people.
We have used Vågen AS as a subcontractor for many years.
Our experience with them is that they are a creative, competent
and professional supplier. Our inquiries and orders are often
very specific to very particular products, but can also include
projects were Vågen is involved in developing complete
solutions.
Over the years, we have truly valued Vågen’s reliability
and good project follow-up.
